DANCE ATTIRE        Students in all classes are required to wear clothing that fits closely to the body so instructors can clearly see all movement. Clothing should also move very freely with the student. There is no restriction on style or color. Ballet students should not wear dance pants of any kind; dance sweaters and leg warmers may be worn in colder months. TIGHTS SHOULD BE WORN WITH ALL LEOTARDS AND SHORTS AND HAIR MUST BE WORN AWAY FROM THE FACE. If the hair is not, a student will be required to purchase a ponytail holder from PAAY, no exceptions.   SHOES:  *Split sole preferred when available*   Ballet (should be actual dance shoes, not house slippers) - pink ballet slippers for ladies, - black slippers for guys Tap - black flat shoes (any style)  Jazz - black jazz shoes (any style) Hip Hop - black dance sneakers Lyrical - nude jazz boots Modern - nude foot undies (any style)  Belly - no shoes        If student currently has a different style/color shoe, he/she may wear them until the next size is needed. Shoes must all be alike by the June recital.
